Nine Lives & It's Halloween - Clever Cats

Hello again! Today's project is one I have entered into the TGIF Challenges #TGIFC338 Theme Challenge this week. The theme this week is Halloween and the only Halloween set I have is the Clever Cats stamp set. This set is also being featured by Stampin' Through the Catalog this week. I also entered this project into the Festive Friday Challenge #FF0095. Their challenge this week was inspired by National Cat Day.

The elements I selected for this challenge were- Cat, Orange and Texture. I also created another card using the the Clever Cats Stamp Set which you can see if you scroll down further.

For my first project, I used the Clever Cats stamp set, a Tombstone Treat Box, Black Glitter Paper, Pattern Party DSP, Metallic Mesh Ribbon, Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon with Subtle Shimmer Sequins.

Treat Box Instructions:

- Assemble a Tombstone Treat Box. Attach pieces of Metallic Mesh Ribbon to the front of the box with a dab of Stampin' Seal. Stamp spiders and a bat from the Clever Cats stamp set using Tuxedo Black ink onto the top and bottom of the tombstone. Attach strips of Black Glitter Paper, Pumpkin Pie card, Pattern Party DSP and Gorgeous Grape card to each other using Liquid Glue. Adhere some Metallic Mesh Ribbon to the front of these pieces using dabs of Stampin' Seal. Attach this piece to the treat box using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp a cat and a sentiment from the Clever Cats set using Tuxedo Black onto Basic White. Fussy cut the cat out and attach to the front of the strips of paper and card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add a piece of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon which has been cut in half and both pieces used to tie a double bow. Mat the sentiment onto Black Glitter Paper and attach to the box with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add Subtle Shimmer Sequins to the card Liquid Glue.

Halloween Card Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White card, mat with Pattern Party DSP (with Liquid Glue), then mat with a smaller piece of Gorgeous Grape with Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp multiple spiders onto a piece of Basic White card using Tuxedo Black and Pumpkin Pie ink. Use the same colours and stamp the sentiment multiple times over the front of the card. Add some 'Sequins for Everything' in red and orange to the front of the card with Glue.

Given that it is National Cat Day in the USA next week (in August in Australia), I thought I would share a picture of my 2 much loved and very naughty cats who I can rarely photograph together. Readers of my blog may have seen pictures of my dog (check 'Hot Dog' posts if you want to see her).
