Thank you - Hydrangea Haven & Intricate Leaves Dies - GDP320

Thank you - Hydrangea Haven & Intricate Leaves Dies - GDP320

Hello again! My card for today is one I am entering into Global Design Project's CASE the Designer Challenge #GDP320 this week. This week's challenge was to CASE the wonderful designer Kayla McCreadie. Kayla is an incredibly talented artist who has an amazing way of layering and adding details.

For my card, I was inspired by Kayla's use of layering, her foliage elements and her use of text and ribbon. I used the Intricate Leaves Dies (part of the Gorgeous Leaves bundle which will be retiring after the end of December 2021), Hydrangea Haven stamp set, Beauty of the Earth DSP and the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

Instructions:

- Use Basic White A4 card cut lengthwise and folded for the card base. Add a piece of the Beauty of the Earth DSP. Mat this with a piece of Basic White card which has been embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and had Early Espresso ink applied with a sponge dauber to highlight the written text .

- Die cut leaves from Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum (embossed with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder- a scrap), Beauty of the Earth DSP and Basic White card (my piece was a scrap that had Rich Razzleberry ink applied with a Blending Brush to the left). Adhere to the card and add some Simply Elegant Trim and Baker's Twine tied in a double bow.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set using Early Espresso ink onto Basic White card and attach to a strip of Diamond Weave Ribbon and attach to the card. Add some Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots to the card.

Thank you - Gorgeous Leaves - #GDP311

Hello again! Today's card is one I have entered into the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP311 Theme Challenge  which involved "Leaves" this week.

For this card I used the Intricate Leaves Dies (part of the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle), Nature's Harvest stamp set, Beauty of the Earth and Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper and some trim.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Smoky Slate A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and folded. Use a piece of Basic White and apply Blushing Bride ink with a Blending Brush. Add some extra interest to the inked area but adding dots with a Blushing Bride Stampin' Write marker.  Mat this piece of card onto the base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Die cut leaves/branches from the Intricate Dies using the Beauty of the Earth and Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper. Attach these to the card using Liquid Glue. Add strips of Gold Shimmer Ribbon 3/8" and also Diamond Weave Ribbon to the card and attach with Stampin' Seal/

- Stamp a sentiment from the Nature's Harvest stamp set onto Basic Black card with Versamark Ink and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Attach the sentiment to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some Elegant Faceted Gems.

Textures & Frames - TGIFC334

Textures & Frames - TGIFC334

Hello again! I have a quick post today to share a couple of cards. The first is a card I have entered into the TGIF Challenges this week for #TGIFC334 Sale-a-bration Inspiration Challenge this week. The second card shows how you can use exactly the same Textures & Frames stamp set and with different colours create a more masculine card instead.

For the first card I used the Textures & Frames stamp set, Inspired Thoughts stamp set (sentiment), Brilliant Wings Dies (butterfly), Be Dazzling 6" x6" Specialty Paper (a Sale-a-bration item coloured with Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends), Meadow Moments Embossing Folder and Vellum. I used the following ink pads - Magenta Madness, Polished Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride and Petal Pink and used a strip each of White Glittered Organdy and Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon.

For my second card, I again used the Textures & Frames stamp set as well as the Handsomely Suited stamp set (sentiment), Intricate Leaves Dies and Twine. I also used Early Espresso and Crumb Cake inks, Early Espresso Card and Kraft Paper (for the leaves).

Don't forget to subscribe to my newsletter as I will have dimensions for these cards.
