Hello again! My card for today is one I am entering into Global Design Project's CASE the Designer Challenge #GDP320 this week. This week's challenge was to CASE the wonderful designer Kayla McCreadie. Kayla is an incredibly talented artist who has an amazing way of layering and adding details.
For my card, I was inspired by Kayla's use of layering, her foliage elements and her use of text and ribbon. I used the Intricate Leaves Dies (part of the Gorgeous Leaves bundle which will be retiring after the end of December 2021), Hydrangea Haven stamp set, Beauty of the Earth DSP and the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
Instructions:
- Use Basic White A4 card cut lengthwise and folded for the card base. Add a piece of the Beauty of the Earth DSP. Mat this with a piece of Basic White card which has been embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and had Early Espresso ink applied with a sponge dauber to highlight the written text .
- Die cut leaves from Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum (embossed with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder- a scrap), Beauty of the Earth DSP and Basic White card (my piece was a scrap that had Rich Razzleberry ink applied with a Blending Brush to the left). Adhere to the card and add some Simply Elegant Trim and Baker's Twine tied in a double bow.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set using Early Espresso ink onto Basic White card and attach to a strip of Diamond Weave Ribbon and attach to the card. Add some Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots to the card.
