I actually found this colour challenge quite hard despite the beautiful colours in the challenge. I decided to create a retro themed birthday card using the Best Day stamp set and creating the retro colours using hand drawn and coloured wavy lines with Stampin' Blends.

Hello and welcome back to my blog. You are visiting Ann Alexander from Australia. Today I have a card for the January 2023 "Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop".  

This month's inspiration image is featured below and the full set of colours for this month's theme are Tahitian Tide, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Mango Melody. My card today uses 5 out of 6 of the colours (no coastal cabana) and allowed me to do one of my favourite things which is colouring with Stampin' Blends.

I used the Best Day stamp set with Stampin' Blends to colour the image. I combined it with the lattice die from the Share A Milkshake Dies,  Lovely Layers Vellum and the Enjoy The Adventure Memories & More Cards & Envelopes.

Instructions:

- Use a Mango Melody card from the Enjoy The Adventure Memories & More Cards & Envelopes pack and trim a little of the bottom to make it a slightly shorter card. Layer with a piece of the Lovely Layers Vellum. Die cut a piece of lattice using the Share A Milkshake Dies from Basic White card and layer onto the card. 

- Stamp the cat and some extra balloons from the Best Day Stamp set onto Basic White using Smoky Slate ink. Colour with Stampin' Blends ( Tahitian Tide, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Mango Melody (retired)). Fussy cut the cat and balloons and adhere to the card.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Best stamp set using Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White card and adhere, and then some 2022-2024 In Colour Matte Decorative Dots to complete.
