Thinking of You - Simply Zinnia - Use Your Stash June 2025

Thinking of You - Simply Zinnia - Use Your Stash June 2025

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for the 'Use Your Stash" Instagram Hop. I am joined by an amazing lineup of crafters so make sure you go to my Instagram page HERE to see the rest of the team's creations.

The aim of the hop is to use up some of the huge stash that we all accumulate. Hopefully it will also inspire both ourselves and others to combine some of our old and new products to reduce that stash.

This month's theme is "Beautiful Blossoms". This challenge was a little difficult as I have used a lot of my favourite florals for this hop in the last few months. But as you know, the aim of this challenge is to use your stash, so I dug out florals I felt I hadn’t used enough while they were current. I tried to mix a bit of old with a bit of new by mixing in some of the new 2025-2027 In Colours.

I used the Simply Zinnia stamp set and dies and mixed it with other products from that suite including the Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder and the Flowering Zinnias DSP. I also used Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Stampin' Blends.

Instructions:

- Use Melon Mambo card for the base. Use a piece of Basic White card and layer with another piece of a Basic White card embossed with the Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder. Tear a piece of the Flowering Zinnias DSP and adhere to the top of the card.

- Die cut multiple flowers pieces with the Simply Zinnia Dies from Melon Mambo, Timid Tiger and Darling Duckling card. Add some more definition to the pieces using Stampin' Blends (in the same colours) and then adhere the pieces together.  Stamp leaves using the Simply Zinnia stamp set onto Lemon Lime Twist card with Lemon Lime Twist ink. Fussy cut or use the dies to die cut out the leaves

- Layer the flowers and leaves onto the card. Stamp the sentiment onto Basic White card using Tuxedo Black ink, fussy cut and adhere to the card. Add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels both to the flowers and to the card front.

Words Fail To Express - Simply Zinnia - Use Your Stash Instagram Hop

Words Fail To Express - Simply Zinnia - Use Your Stash Instagram Hop

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for the brand new 'Use Your Stash" Instagram Hop.

This month's theme is "Never Gonna Give You Up". There's so many things that I love but the thing I always keep is my Designer Series Paper, both regular patterned paper and specialty.

I especially love papers that I can cut and colour so I had to pick my all time favourite - True Love DSP. It obviously was a popular paper as Stampin' Up!® has recently brought back the same designs in a coloured version called "Serene Love" DSP.

I also added some other retired favourite papers - 6" x 6" Kraft Paper, 2021-2023 In Colour Treat Bags and Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper. I used the just retired Simply Zinnia stamp set for the sentiment, Stampin' Blends to colour and Classic Matte Dots (retired).

Instructions:

- Use Crumb Cake for your card base and layer with a piece of the Kraft Paper, covering the whole card front. Layer with a piece of Basic White and then a piece of the Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Colour Treat Bag. Layer another piece of Basic White card after distressing the edges and splattering with Black ink.

- Use a piece of the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper, trimming of the edges and adhere to the card layers. Fussy cut flowers from the True Love DSP using Paper Snips and colour with Stampin' Blends (Pretty in Pink, Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink, Blackberry Bliss, Petunia Pop, Moody Mauve, Smoky Slate, Old Olive and Lost Lagoon).

- Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Zinnia set onto Basic White card using Tuxedo Black ink. Layer onto a strip of Kraft Paper and then adhere to the card front. Finally add Classic Matte Dots to complete.
