To You and Yours - Gift Wrapped & Peace and Joy

To You and Yours - Gift Wrapped & Peace and Joy

Hello and welcome back to my blog. I am just dropping by to share a card to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings from my family to yours.

I have used a mixture of retiring products (the Gift Wrapped, Peace and Joy stamp sets and the Black Glitter Paper) as well as the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate from the Fine Art Floral suite which will be released on January 5th from the upcoming  Stampin' Up!® January-June 2021 catalogue.

If you would like a copy of the new January-June 2021 catalogue or the Sale-A-bration catalogue and live in Australia, please email me (see the contact link at the top of my page).

Instructions:

- Use a Basic Black card base - A4 cut in half lengthwise and folded.

- Cut a piece of Black Glitter Paper and a piece of the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate to the same size.

- Attach the Black Glitter Paper to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. Attach the Acetate to the Glitter Paper using Stamping' Seal under the gold foil.

- Use some scrap pieces of gold foil to create your present 'ribbon" (I used some left over bits from the retiring Joy of Sharing kit).

- Use the Gift Wrapped stamp set to stamp a bow using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.

- Either use the coordinating punch (now retired) or fussy cut the bow. If you have the punch, cut two more bows one from Black Glitter Paper and one from Gold Foil.

- Use some Gold Cord from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack and attach to the gold foil.

- Attach the bows to each other using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Attach the bows to the card over the Gold Cord using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Peace and Joy stamp set, using Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Attach the sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Use some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to decorate the gold foil.

- Use a piece of Whisper White card for the inside of the card and attach a small strip of the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate onto the card using small dots of Liquid Glue on the Foiled areas to avoid being seen.

Card supplies:

- Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Gold Foil

- Paper: Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate, Black Glitter

- Stamps: Gift Wrapped, Peace and Joy

- Punch: Gift Bow Builder Punch (now retired)

- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Peace - Christmas card using Decorative Masks

Peace - Christmas card using Decorative Masks

Hello. Today I am showing the last card I made recently using the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks. This card uses Stampin' Up!® Shimmery White Embossing Paste through one of the masks to create both texture and dimension. I combined that with punched pieces and paper from the Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle.

To make this card:

1) I used one of the Decorative Masks, and taped it down with Washi tape over a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock 5 3/8" x 2 7/8" (13.6 x 7.5 cm). I initially used a larger piece and cut it down to this size later.

2) Using a palette knife, I blended the Shimmery White Embossing Paste through the mask onto the coloured cardstock. I let it dry for a few hours before using this piece.

3) I used Whisper White cardstock and die cut the word "Peace" twice from the Peace and Joy Bundle and glued the two pieces together, then used the punch from the Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle to cut an ornament from Silver Foil. I used Liquid Multipurpose Glue dabbed onto the die cut word, to attach it to my card front and used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the punched piece. I tied a piece of twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack around the ornament.

4) I attached 2 narrow strips of Silver Foil to the the Misty Moonlight cardstock using Liquid Multipurpose Glue and then attached the embossed/silver foil card onto a piece of Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper 5 3/8" x 3 5/8" (13.6 x 9.1 cm) using Stampin ' Dimensionals. I then attached the whole lot onto Whisper White cardstock 5 5/8" x 3 7/8" (14.2 x 9.8cm) using Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

5) I attached the full card panel onto a  Misty Moonlight card base (A4 cardstock cut in half and folded lengthwise) using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

6) I used a piece of Whisper White cardstock on the inside of the card with another ornament punched from Silver Foil attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Merry and Bright - Peace & Joy and Forever Gold

Merry and Bright - Peace & Joy and Forever Gold

Hi and welcome back. I am using some of my favourites today. Firstly I am totally obsessed with Stampin' Up!® Black Glitter Paper... it just adds so much sparkle to anything you use it for. As you know from my previous posts, I love the Forever Greenery Suite and the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. I have so many pieces still left from those sheets that I challenged myself to make a bunch of cards using those pieces. This was one of the cards, that came from that challenge.

I used Whisper White cardstock as my base, with a layer of the SU Black Glitter Paper 5 1/4" x 3 1/2" (13.3 x 8.8 cm) popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I trimmed one of the pieces from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper down to 4 1/4" x 2 7/8" ( 10.5 x 7.4 cm)  and used some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere it to the glitter layer. I used a small dauber with glue dabbed onto it to apply glue to the back of the Forever Gold Paper.

I then die cut the word "Bright" (using Whisper White cardstock) from the Peace & Joy Bundle. I stamped the the words "Merry" and "And" from the Peace & Joy Stamp Set (also part of the Peace & Joy Bundle) on Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black, and fussy cut those pieces out. I attached all of them to the Forever Gold Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Card supplies:

- Whisper White Cardstock A4 sheet cut lengthwise and folded in half

- Black Glitter Paper

- Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper

- Peace & Joy Bundle (stamp set and dies)

- Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

- Stampin' Dimensionals

- Multipurpose Liquid Glue

- Sponge Dauber

Hope you liked today's card. It was definitely a simple card to make, but the Black Glitter Paper and the Forever Gold piece definitely bring on the Christmas sparkle.

Joy - Peace and Joy

Joy - Peace and Joy

Hello again. I have a very sparkly but easy card for you today. I love sparkle, pretty much all the time. One of the times that I find you can use sparkle easily is for Christmas cards.

I used Whisper White cardstock, matted with a layer the Black Glitter paper. I then die cut the word 'Joy' from the Joy dies which are part of the Peace and Joy Bundle (which includes the Peace and Joy stamp set as well as the Joy dies). I die cut the word from Whisper White cardstock and Silver and Gold Foil sheets. I added some interest using a die-cut from the Forever Flourishing Dies (using Gold Foil) as well as some gems from the Wonderful Gems pack.

Unfortunately you can't see how sparkly this card is in the photos, but it is very "blingy" in real life.

Don't forget the new "Get and Go Starter Promotion in my previous post!
