Friends Forever - Cottage Rose - GDP372 Case the Designer Challenge

Friends Forever - Cottage Rose - GDP372 Case the Designer Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for Global Design Project's GDP372 Case the Designer Challenge . This week we are CASEing the amazing Kayla McCreadie. I was inspired by the florals, textured background and the embossed sentiment from Kayla's original card.

As you know I love my florals, so I picked the Abigail Rose DSP to create my flowers and replicated the textured background with the Dots & Spots Die, and used the Cottage Rose stamp set for the embossed sentiment.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Crumb Cake A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and folded and layer with a piece of Abigail Rose DSP. Use a piece of Basic White card and layer with another piece of Basic White that has been die cut with the Dots & Spots Die and adhere both to the card.

- Fussy cut flowers from the Abigail Rose DSP and colour with Stampin' Blends and Watercolour Pencils.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Cottage Rose stamp set using Versamark ink onto Basic Black and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and adhere to the card. Add some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card to complete.

Thank You - Simply Fabulous - GDP354 Sketch Challenge

Thank You - Simply Fabulous - GDP354 Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for Global Design Project's #GDP354 Sketch Challenge . This week we have a sketch challenge using tags.

I used the Abigail Rose DSP coloured with Stampin' Blends for the tag and the Simply Fabulous stamp set for the sentiment. I also used the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder, the Tailor Made Tags Dies and Linen Thread for the bows.

Instructions:

- Use a Smoky Slate A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and folded. Layer with a piece of the Abigail Rose DSP. Then layer with a piece of Basic White which has been embossed with the Painted Posies embossing folder and had Flirty Flamingo ink applied with a Blending Brush to it.

- Die cut a piece of the Abigail Rose DSP with the Tailor Made Tags Dies. Colour with Stampin' Blends (Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, Soft Seafoam, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Tahitian Tide).

- Stamp a sentiment from the Simply Fabulous stamp set using Flirty Flamingo ink onto Basic White and attach to the tag. Tie some Linen Thread into a large bow with multiple loops and adhere. Add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to complete.

Happy Birthday - Cottage Rose - July 2022 Instahop

Happy Birthday - Cottage Rose - July 2022 Instahop

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today I am hopping with some friends on Instagram for the July 2022 Instahop. We are an international group of stamping friends and the theme for July is our favourite Bundle or Suite from the current catalogues!  To be honest, I actually have quite a few favourites but I do love the paper in the Abigail Rose Suite which is what inspired me to create this card today.

Click this link to visit my Instagram page HERE to hop around to each participant.

For my card I used the Cottage Rose stamp set and Abigail Rose DSP. I coloured the images with Stampin' Blends and I added in some 2021-2023 In Colour Opal Rounds.

Instructions:

- Use Smoky Slate A4 card cut in half lengthwise and folded for the card base. Layer with a piece of Basic White and then with the Abigail Rose DSP.

- Fussy cut some flowers from one of the sheets of the Abigail Rose DSP. Colour with Stampin' Blends (Flirty Flamingo, Pale Papaya, Petal Pink, Smoky Slate, Gray Granite and Soft Succulent). Blend a little Pale Papaya ink onto the paper with a Blending Brush or Sponge Dauber to soften the white of the DSP and then adhere the images to card.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Cottage Rose stamp set using Smoky Slate ink onto a strip of the Abigail Rose DSP. Adhere some 2021-2023 In Colour Opal Rounds and tie a piece of linen thread into a bow and adhere.
