Nine Lives & It's Halloween - Clever Cats

Nine Lives & It's Halloween - Clever Cats

Hello again! Today's project is one I have entered into the TGIF Challenges #TGIFC338 Theme Challenge this week. The theme this week is Halloween and the only Halloween set I have is the Clever Cats stamp set. This set is also being featured by Stampin' Through the Catalog this week. I also entered this project into the Festive Friday Challenge #FF0095. Their challenge this week was inspired by National Cat Day.

The elements I selected for this challenge were- Cat, Orange and Texture. I also created another card using the the Clever Cats Stamp Set which you can see if you scroll down further.

For my first project, I used the Clever Cats stamp set, a Tombstone Treat Box, Black Glitter Paper, Pattern Party DSP, Metallic Mesh Ribbon, Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon with Subtle Shimmer Sequins.

Treat Box Instructions:

- Assemble a Tombstone Treat Box. Attach pieces of Metallic Mesh Ribbon to the front of the box with a dab of Stampin' Seal. Stamp spiders and a bat from the Clever Cats stamp set using Tuxedo Black ink onto the top and bottom of the tombstone. Attach strips of Black Glitter Paper, Pumpkin Pie card, Pattern Party DSP and Gorgeous Grape card to each other using Liquid Glue. Adhere some Metallic Mesh Ribbon to the front of these pieces using dabs of Stampin' Seal. Attach this piece to the treat box using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp a cat and a sentiment from the Clever Cats set using Tuxedo Black onto Basic White. Fussy cut the cat out and attach to the front of the strips of paper and card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add a piece of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon which has been cut in half and both pieces used to tie a double bow. Mat the sentiment onto Black Glitter Paper and attach to the box with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add Subtle Shimmer Sequins to the card Liquid Glue.

Halloween Card Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White card, mat with Pattern Party DSP (with Liquid Glue), then mat with a smaller piece of Gorgeous Grape with Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp multiple spiders onto a piece of Basic White card using Tuxedo Black and Pumpkin Pie ink. Use the same colours and stamp the sentiment multiple times over the front of the card. Add some 'Sequins for Everything' in red and orange to the front of the card with Glue.

Given that it is National Cat Day in the USA next week (in August in Australia), I thought I would share a picture of my 2 much loved and very naughty cats who I can rarely photograph together. Readers of my blog may have seen pictures of my dog (check 'Hot Dog' posts if you want to see her).

Thank You for Inspiring Me - Blessings of Home - Just Add Ink #JAI577 - Just Add Inspiration

Thank You for Inspiring Me - Blessings of Home - Just Add Ink #JAI577 - Just Add Inspiration

Hello again and welcome back to my blog! I have another Just Add Ink Design Team post for you today.

This weeks challenge is Just Add Ink #577...Just Add Inspiration . The colours in the inspiration photo are so lovely, I tried to replicate some of them in my card. For this card, I used the Blessings of Home stamp set which is an upcoming set in the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. One of the advantages of being a Stampin' Up!® demonstrator is the ability to see and purchase new items from the range early and at a discount. I also used the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder, Paper Lattice, Pattern Party DSP and Stampin' Up!® inks to create the loose watercoloured background.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic Black A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and folded. Attach a piece of Magenta Madness card which has been embossed with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Cut a piece of Pattern Party DSP to the size of a piece of Paper Lattice and adhere to each other using Liquid Glue. Attach the two pieces to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp the large floral image from the Blessings of Home stamp set onto Watercolour card with Versamark and then heat emboss with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder (alternatively you could use Staz-On Black Ink as a waterproof ink instead). As this image has lots of details and shading it looked less like an embossed image and more a regular stamped image with embossing.

- Use a Water Painter and apply water to the image first then loosely add various coloured inks to the image (listed below) . Don't worry about mixing of colours, as it adds to the loose watercoloured look. When dry, apply more colour to various areas to increase the intensity of the colour. Make sure when adding colours to only allow colours next to each other on the colour wheel to be side by side to avoid a muddy look to the colours. Allow the piece to dry and then fussy cut close to the stamped line. Attach the image to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Blessings of Home stamp set onto Basic White card using Tuxedo Black ink. Mat this onto a piece of Basic Black card and attach to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some Matte Black Dots to the card.

To You and Yours - Tasteful Touches & Heartfelt Wishes - FMS507

To You and Yours - Tasteful Touches & Heartfelt Wishes - FMS507

Hello again! Today's card is one I have entered into the Freshly Made Sketches #FMS507 Sketch Challenge this week.

For this card I used the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set, Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set (sentiment), Pattern Party Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Blends for colouring and Matte Black Dots. This card was an example of using scraps from my desk as the flowers and leaves were planned for another project but didn't get used, the strips of black cardstock and DSP were scraps sitting on my desk.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and folded. Mat with a piece of Smoky Slate and attach to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Use the Tasteful Touches stamp set and stamp florals and leaves onto Basic White card using Tuxedo Black ink. Colour the florals with Real Red Stampin' Blends and fussy cut the images out. Stamp a sentiment from the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set using Versamark onto Basic Black card. Heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

-  Mat the sentiment onto a strip of Pattern Party DSP with Liquid Glue and then attach to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Attach the florals and leaves to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add Matte Black Dots to the card.

Don't forget to subscribe to my newsletter as I will have dimensions for this card.
