Happy Birthday - Birthday Song - GDP556 Case the Designer Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for the Global Design Project's Case the Designer Challenge! This week we are CASEing the amazing Emma Goddard. Make sure to visit the Global Design Project's Instagram & Facebook pages during the week to see the rest of the team's entries.

I was inspired by the colours from Emma's card. I used the Birthday Song Stamp set, Vellum and Stampin' Blends.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White card and mat with a smaller piece of Basic White. Use a piece of Vellum and create a background with Stampin' Blends, Isopropyl Alcohol and brush. Once dry, adhere the Vellum piece to the card.

- Stamp the flamingos from the Birthday Song stamp set using Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White and fussy cut the imaget out. Colour with Stampin' Blends and adhere the pieces to the card. Stamp some musical notes from the same stamp set onto the Vellum with Staz-On ink.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Birthday Song stamp set onto Basic White using Tuxedo Black ink, mat with Lemon Lime Twist card and adhere. Finally add some gems to complete.

Hello - Kangaroo & Company - Use Your Stash Challenge July 2026

Hello - Kangaroo & Company - Use Your Stash Challenge July 2026

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for the 'Use Your Stash" Instagram Hop July 2026. I am joined by an amazing lineup of crafters so make sure you go to my Instagram page HERE to see the rest of the team's creations.

The aim of the hop is to use up some of the huge stash that we all accumulate. Hopefully it will also inspire both ourselves and others to combine some of our old and new products to reduce that stash.

This month's theme is "Sunny Summer". It's the middle of winter here in Australia, so I wanted to pick a set that reflected an Australian summer. I ended up choosing the retired Kangaroo & Company stamp set, 2024-2026 In Colour DSP and Adhesive Backed Milky Dots (all retired). I also added in some current items - the Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP and Everyday Arches Dies. I added in colour to the card using the DSP, ink blending and Stampin' Blends.

Instructions:

- Use Crumb Cake card for the base and layer with Basic White card and then a layer of the Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP. Die cut Basic White card using the Everyday Arches Dies and ink blend coordinating ink colours, to give the appearance of the dry and sunny Australian outback. Adhere the arch to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp images from the Kangaroo & Company stamp set onto Basic White using Tuxedo Black ink, colour with Stampin' Blends and fussy/die cut out. Use the same ink and stamp the sentiment onto a separate piece of Basic White card.

- Fussy cut leaves from the 2024-2026 In Colour DSP and layer these leaves under the arch and onto the blended background placing them to frame the stamped kangaroos. Adhere all the images and sentiments to the card. Finally add some Adhesive Backed Milky Dots to complete.
