Thank You - Painted Lavender & Perennial Postage -GDP437 Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for Global Design Project's GDP437 Colour Challenge. This week our Colour Challenge is using Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather and Shaded Spruce.

For my card I used the  Perennial Lavender Suite Collection. I used both the Painted Lavender & Perennial Postage Stamps, the Painted Lavender Dies, Paper Butterfly Accents and Purple Fine Shimmer Gems (all from the suite). I also used the Elegant Eucalyptus Embossing Folders to emboss the piece of layering card.

Instructions:

- Use Highland Heather for the card base and layer with Basic White card and then a piece of the Perennial Lavender DSP.  Use an off cut piece of Basic White which has been embossed with the Elegant Eucalyptus Embossing Folder.

- Stamp the various pieces of lavender with both Highland Heather and Shaded Spruce ink using first and second generation stamping. Die cut these pieces using the Painted Lavender dies and also cut some leaves with dies using Coastal Cabana and Shaded Spruce card.

- Use three of the Paper Butterfly Accents and colour with Blending Brushes and both Highland Heather and Coastal Cabana ink.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set onto Basic White using Highland Heather ink and complete the card using some Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.

You Are The Best - Timeless Arrangements - GDP436 Case the Designer Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for Global Design Project's GDP436 Case the Designer Challenge. For this week's challenge we are CASEing Jay Soriano. I was inspired by Jay's use of colour and general layout for my card.

For my card I used the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Card Pack and Cards & Envelopes. I used the Timeless Arrangements stamp set for the sentiment, the Cross Hatch Basics Embossing Folder and Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots.

Instructions:

- Use one of the card bases from the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards & Envelopes and cut down to a standard sized card. Mat the card base with Basic White card. Then mat with a piece of Calypso Coral and Basic White that have both been embossed with the Cross Hatch Basics Embossing Folder.

- Use a strip of Calypso Coral card and a strip of the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Card Pack cards in the centre of the card. Use another card with butterflies on it and fussy cut them out with Paper Snips and adhere along the centre of the card.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Timeless Arrangements stamp set onto Basic White using Tuxedo Black ink and complete the card using some Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots.

Thanks - Notes of Nature - JAI692 Sketch Challenge

Thanks - Notes of Nature - JAI692 Sketch Challenge

Hello again and welcome back to my blog! I have another Just Add Ink Design Team post for you today. This week's challenge is the Just Add Ink #JAI692 Sketch Challenge .

Don't you love sketch challenges? The design element is done for you so I just picked one of my current favourite sets the Notes of Nature stamp set and combined it with the Nature's Sweetness Specialty DSP to create this card. I added a little colouring with Stampin' blends and the Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to complete the card.

Instructions:

- Use Pecan Pie card for the card base and layer it with a piece of the Nature's Sweetness Specialty DSP after distressing the edges of the paper. Layer with another piece of the DSP.

- Use the DSP for the central image and fussy cut the leaves and circle with Paper Snips. Colour with Stampin' Blends (Bubble Bath and Soft Seafoam) and adhere to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment onto Basic White with Pebbled Path ink, cut down to the word 'Thanks'  and adhere. Use Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to complete the card.
