Thank You - Simply Said & Spotlight On Nature - JAI706 Inspiration Challenge

Thank You - Simply Said & Spotlight On Nature - JAI706 Inspiration Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! I have another Just Add Ink Design Team post for you today. This week's challenge is the Just Add Ink #JAI706 Inspiration Challenge . I was inspired by the colours and stripes but didn't want to use the typical blue from the inspiration image.

I used the Simply Said stamp set (sentiment), Spotlight on Nature Bundle and Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack (flowers), A Little Latte DSP, Fun Patterns Embossing Folder, Stampin' Blends, Linen Thread and 2024-2026 In Colour Shimmer Gems.

Instructions:

- Use Lost Lagoon card for the card base, layered with Basic White card and then a piece of the striped 'A Little Latte' DSP. Use the Spotlight on Nature dies to die cut a fancy edged circle from Basic White and emboss with one the Fun Patterns Embossing Folders.

- Stamp the image from the Spotlight on Nature stamp set using Tuxedo Black onto Basic White. Fussy cut around the image and then add some colour to the image using Stampin' Blends (Pool Party, Azure Afternoon, Lost Lagoon, Wild Wheat and Lemon Lolly). Layer the image on top of some die cuts from the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set using Tuxedo Black onto Basic White and adhere. Add a bow made form Linen Thread and 2024-2026 In Colour Shimmer Gems to complete.

To My Friend - Adventurous Sky - GDP449 Colour Challenge

To My Friend - Adventurous Sky - GDP449 Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for the Global Design Project's GDP449 Colour Challenge. This week we have a fun Colour Challenge using Peach Pie, Shy Shamrock and Petunia Pop (2024 - 2026 In Colours). Visit the Global Design Project Instagram & Facebook pages during the week to see the entries.

For my card, I used the Adventurous Sky bundle colouring the images with Stampin' Blends. I also used the Deckled Circles Dies, the Ink Blending technique to create the background and used 2024-2026 In Colour Resin Dots to complete the card.

Instructions:

- Use Pecan Pie for the card base and layer with another piece of Pecan Pie and then a piece of Basic White card with Pecan Pie ink splattered onto it.

- Use another piece Basic White card and use Blending Brushes to apply Pecan Pie and Petunia Pop ink to it. Cut the ink blended card with one of the Deckled Circles Dies.

- Stamp plane and cloud images from the Adventurous Sky stamp set onto Basic White card using Smoky Slate ink. Die cut all the pieces using the Adventurous Sky Dies. Colour the images with Stampin' Blends in the challenge colours.

- Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set onto Basic White with Shy Shamrock ink. Die cut a piece of card in the same colour using the Adventurous Sky dies and attach the sentiment to it. Adhere all pieces to the card and add some Petunia Pop In Colour Resin Dots to complete.

Let's Celebrate - Simply Said - CAS on Friday

Let's Celebrate - Simply Said - CAS on Friday

Hello and welcome back to my blog! My card for today is for this week's CAS on Friday Challenge #285 theme which is a 'Embossing' Challenge. I decided to do a dry embossed rather than a heat embossed card as it is one of my favourite techniques to add details to a card.

For my card today, I used the Simply Said stamp set, a die cut from the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack (colouring some of the images with Stampin" Blends) and Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder and 2024-2026 In Colour Resin Dots.

Make sure to visit the blog HERE to see the rest of the team's projects.

Instructions:

- Use Basic White card for the card base and layer with a piece of Basic White card which has been embossed with the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder. Apply some Pecan Pie ink with a small Blending Brush onto the raised embossed areas.

- Use a die cut from the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack and colour the floral image with Stampin' Blends (Granny Apple Green and Pecan Pie).

- Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set using Tuxedo Black onto Basic White and attach to the card. Add some 2024-2026 In Colour Resin Dots to the card to complete.

Thank You - Simply Said - GDP443 Theme Challenge

Thank You - Simply Said - GDP443 Theme Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for Global Design Project's GDP443 Theme Challenge. This week we have a fun Theme Challenge inspired by "Music". As I don't have many music themed sets, I decided to use one of the really fun music themed DSP from Stampin' Up!® which is retiring soon (unfortunately). The paper is really versatile due to its black and white graphic imagery.

For my card, I used the Simply Said stamp set, Rock & Roll DSP (retiring), 2" Circle Punch and Stampin' Blends.

Instructions:

- Use Basic White for the card base and layer with 2 pieces of the Rock & Roll DSP. Punch two circles from one of the pieces of the DSP with a 2" Circle Punch.

- Fussy cut music related images from one of the graphic papers of the Rock & Roll DSP. Colour the images with Stampin' Blends (Lemon Lime Twist, Petunia Pop, Flirty Flamingo, Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Pool Party and Summer Splash).

- Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set onto Basic White with Tuxedo Black ink.
