Hope Your Birthday is Dino-mite - Darling Dinos- JAI743 Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! I have another Just Add Ink Design Team post for you today. This week's challenge is the Just Add Ink #JAI743 Sketch Challenge .

I used the new Darling Dino stamp set, Hobnail Glass Basics Embossing Folder (retired), Stampin' Blends, Blending Brushes & Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Instructions:

- Use a Basic White card as the base, then layer with a piece of Basic Beige and then Basic White embossed with the Hobnail Glass Basics Embossing Folder.

- Use a narrower piece of Basic White and using Blending Brushes to apply Granny Apple Green & Azure Afternoon ink to create grass and sky. Stamp grass from the Darling Dinos set onto this piece using Granny Apple Green ink.

- Stamp the dinosaurs and accessories from the Darling Dinos stamp set onto Basic White card using Tuxedo Black ink. Fussy cut or die cut ( I had to fussy cut as I forgot to buy the dies). Use Stampin' Blends (Soft Seafoam, Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist, Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wheat, Smokey Slate, Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lolly, Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Petunia Pop and Peach Pie) to colour the pieces and adhere them to the card.

So Thankful - Beautiful Butterflies - GDP488 Case the Designer Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for the Global Design Project's GDP488 Case the Designer Challenge. This week we are CASEing the amazing Jay Soriano. Visit the Global Design Project Instagram & Facebook pages during the week to see the rest of the team's entries.

I was inspired by the layout, colours and foliage in Jay's original card. For my card, I used the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set, Floral Delight DSP, Spring Celebrations & Washes & Florals Mix & Match Ephemera Pack and Gold Twisted Thread.

Instructions:

- Use Daffodil Delight for the card base and layer with Basic White card. Layer a piece of the Floral Delight DSP and a strip of Pumpkin Pie card.

- Use a tag from the Washes & Florals Mix & Match Ephemera Pack and stamp images onto it from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set using Pecan Pie (2nd and 3rd generation stamping).

- Add some butterflies from the Spring Celebrations Mix & Match Ephemera Pack to the front of the tag. Finally add some Gold Twisted Thread and tie in a bow to complete the tag and adhere.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set using Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White and adhere it the card front.

Congratulations - Hand-Penned Petals - Use Your Stash March 2025

Congratulations - Hand-Penned Petals - Use Your Stash March 2025

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's card is for the 'Use Your Stash" Instagram Hop. I am joined by an amazing lineup of crafters so make sure you go to my Instagram page HERE to see the rest of the team's creations.

The aim of the hop is to use up some of the huge stash that we all accumulate. Hopefully it will also inspire both ourselves and others to combine some of our old and new products to reduce that stash.

This month's theme is "All Time Favourite Stamp Set". I did not have to think to hard for this one as I instantly thought of the retired Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and coordinating Penned Flowers Dies .

If you look through my sidebar and scroll down to the tags and search for "Hand-Penned" you can see all my past creations with this set. It is by far the most used set I have ever had and I love it just as much now.

In addition to the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set, I used the coordinating Penned Flowers Dies, Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder, Forever Green Trim Combo Pack, Gilded Gems (all retired) & Stampin' Blends.

Instructions:

- Use Fresh Freesia card for the base, layer with a piece of Very Vanilla and then a piece of Basic White embossed with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.

- Die cut multiple flowers using the Penned Flowers Dies and Basic White card and layer them onto the card front to add extra texture.

- Stamp the large floral images from the Hand-Penned Petals twice onto Basic White with Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut the images. Colour the images with Stampin' Blends ( Fresh Freesia, Petal Pink, Bubble Bath, Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green & Old Olive).

- Use some Gold thread from the Forever Green Trim Combo Pack and adhere to the card and then added the coloured stamped images on top using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp the sentiment onto Basic White card using Tuxedo Black ink and adhere to the card. Finally add some Gilded Gems to complete the card.
