A Little Hello From Me To You - Hand-Penned Suite - #TGIFC312 Technique Challenge

A Little Hello From Me To You - Hand-Penned Suite - #TGIFC312 Technique Challenge

Hello and welcome to back to my blog. I created this card for the #TGIFC312 Technique Challenge this week. The challenge this week was to create a 'Very Vintage" card.

I used the Hand- Penned Petals stamp set which is new stamp set from the Stampin' Up!® 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue, one of the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Papers and the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks. I combined it with the new In Colours 2021-2023.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Very Vanilla card A4 cut in half lengthwise and folded.

- Layer a piece of Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper, using a sponge dauber to apply Early Espresso Ink to the edges.

- Cut a smaller piece of Very Vanilla, use one of the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks and blend Evening Evergreen through it using a Blending Brush. Blend lightly and leave some areas lighter than others. Splatter with Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Early Espresso using either Stampin' Write Markers or ink. Edge the card with Early Espresso ink using the sponge dauber.

- Stamp the Hand-Penned Petals stamp onto a piece of Very Vanilla and use the Penned Flowers Dies to cut it out. Colour the flower with Polished Pink and Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends. Cut some extra leaves from Soft Succulent cardstock. Apply some Early Espresso to the edges of the leaves and flower using the sponge dauber

- Adhere the leaves and flowers to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals and Liquid Glue. Tie a double bow using Linen Thread around the stem of the flower.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set onto a strip of Very Vanilla card with Early Espresso ink. Edge the strip of card with Early Espresso ink using the sponge dauber. Attach the sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Happy Anniversary - Simply Elegant Suite - Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop April 2021

Happy Anniversary - Simply Elegant Suite - Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop April 2021

Hello and welcome back. Today I have a card for the Casually Crafting Design Team April 2021 Blog Hop.

So who are we?

The Casually Crafting Design Team are a group of Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from around the world that want to share our love of crafting with you all. We all love simple and easy cards, so you will see cards that are ideally suited for beginners and casual crafters. Sometimes we will also be showing stepped up versions for the more avid crafter.

We will sharing what we love every 3rd Saturday of the month. Make sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's creative projects using the links below.

For this month, I decided to share a card using the brand new 'Simply Elegant Suite' from the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue from Stampin' Up!®.

I used the gorgeous new Elegantly Said stamp set as well as the Simply Elegant 12' x 12" Specialty Designer Series Papers and the Simply Elegant Trim and used techniques such as stamping, heat embossing and fussy cutting.

The brief was to use the following sketch for inspiration. I decide to use the sketch on its side (as I generally create portrait style cards rather than landscape cards).

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Very Vanilla card A4/Letter cut in half lengthwise and folded

- Stamp the large corner stamp from the Elegantly Said stamp set using Versamark Ink onto each of the corners of the card front. Use Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat emboss the images.

- Cut a piece of Basic Black card and attach to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. Cut a piece of the Simply Elegant 12' x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper which is slightly taller and narrower and attach to the Basic Black card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

- Stamp the floral image from the Elegantly Stamp Set onto Vellum three times with Versamark Ink and use White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat emboss the images. Fussy cut the images out.

- Use both the silver and gold pieces of the Simply Elegant trim and create a bow using both pieces of trim.

- Adhere the first Vellum flower down to the card using dots of Liquid Glue. Attach the sliver/gold bow to the card using a Stampin' Dimensional then attach the second Vellum flower to the card using that and other Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Elegantly Said stamp set using Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black card. Use White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat emboss the image. Fussy cut the sentiment out and adhere to the card using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Add some Gilded Gems and place them on the Vellum Flowers and the Designer Series Paper.

- For the inside of the card, use some leftover strips of Basic Black and Simply Elegant 12' x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper, and adhere to the card base using Liquid Glue. Adhere the third Vellum flower to the inside of the card overlying the strips of card using Liquid Glue.

Measurements:

- Vanilla card base A4/Letter cut in half lengthwise and folded

- Basic Black: A4 5 1/4" x 3 1/2"/ 13.2 x 8.8 cm or Letter 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"

Simply Elegant 12' x 12" Specialty DSP A4 5 1/2" x 3 1/8"/ 13.9 x 7.9 cm or Letter 3 1/4" x 5 1/8"

I loved using this new Simply Elegant Suite today. It is so easy to create an elegant card using the gorgeous Designer Series Papers combined with some simple stamping and embossing.

Wishing You A Year of Magical Moments - Butterfly Bouquet - #TGIFC311 Sketch Challenge

Wishing You A Year of Magical Moments - Butterfly Bouquet - #TGIFC311 Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to back to my blog. I created this card for the #TGIFC311 Sketch Challenge this week. The challenge this week was to create a Slimline Card.

I used the Brilliant Wings Dies, Many Messages Bundle for the die cut sentiment, Painted Texture Embossing Folder. I combined it with the now sold out Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic Gray card A4 cut in half and folded in half lengthwise for the card base.

- Cut a piece of Basic White card for the inside and outside of the card (slightly smaller than the Basic Gray). Colour the outside card with using a Blending Brush with Magenta Madness Ink. Stamp the card with the dotted background stamp from the  Forever Fern stamp set using Blushing Bride Ink then emboss with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. Adhere this card to the Basic Gray base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Die cut butterflies from Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Magenta Madness and Bermuda Bay using the Brilliant Wings Dies. Use the Layered Circles Dies and die cut circles out of coordinating Butterfly Bijou papers. Attach the circles to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals and the butterflies to the papers with Mini Glue Dots.

- Stamp a sentiment and die cut using Tuxedo Black ink and the Many Messages Bundle. Attach the sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Adhere the inside Basic White card using Liquid Glue.

TIP
As the Butterfly Bijou is now sold out, you could substitute it with paper that you have blended ink onto or smooshed some ink onto instead.
