Hello - Good Morning Magnolia

Life has been so busy around here lately, but I find card making such a helpful way of de-stressing. I decided to use the Good Morning Magnolia set today for my card. I only joined Stampin' Up!® recently but I fell in love with it last year when it was released.. I am kind of obsessed with this set (don't I say that about everything I post - lol) ... so you may find it coming up again. This card was partly inspired by my daughter, as she wanted me to layer the flowers to add more interest. I am glad I listened to her as I love the effect it created.

This card was made using Whisper White cardstock, and instead of using a cardstock layer, I decided to use a piece from the Peony Garden DSP set. I layered that piece with Basic Grey cardstock, then another strip from the Peony Garden. I stamped the large flower twice from the Good Morning Magnolia set using StazOn Black Ink and then fussy cut the flower off from the stem, and layered it on top of a fussy cut version of the whole stamped image. I then coloured it using the Stampin' Up!® blender pen and some Flirty Flamingo ink. I picked up the ink off an acrylic block and gently layered the colour onto the flower until I was happy with it. I stamped the Hello sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia Set onto Whisper White and cut the corners of the cut rectangle piece to add a little interest. I popped the Basic Grey layer and the flower/sentiment up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
