Thank You for Inspiring Me - Blessings of Home - Just Add Ink #JAI577 - Just Add Inspiration

Hello again and welcome back to my blog! I have another Just Add Ink Design Team post for you today.

This weeks challenge is Just Add Ink #577...Just Add Inspiration . The colours in the inspiration photo are so lovely, I tried to replicate some of them in my card. For this card, I used the Blessings of Home stamp set which is an upcoming set in the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. One of the advantages of being a Stampin' Up!® demonstrator is the ability to see and purchase new items from the range early and at a discount. I also used the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder, Paper Lattice, Pattern Party DSP and Stampin' Up!® inks to create the loose watercoloured background.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic Black A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and folded. Attach a piece of Magenta Madness card which has been embossed with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Cut a piece of Pattern Party DSP to the size of a piece of Paper Lattice and adhere to each other using Liquid Glue. Attach the two pieces to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp the large floral image from the Blessings of Home stamp set onto Watercolour card with Versamark and then heat emboss with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder (alternatively you could use Staz-On Black Ink as a waterproof ink instead). As this image has lots of details and shading it looked less like an embossed image and more a regular stamped image with embossing.

- Use a Water Painter and apply water to the image first then loosely add various coloured inks to the image (listed below) . Don't worry about mixing of colours, as it adds to the loose watercoloured look. When dry, apply more colour to various areas to increase the intensity of the colour. Make sure when adding colours to only allow colours next to each other on the colour wheel to be side by side to avoid a muddy look to the colours. Allow the piece to dry and then fussy cut close to the stamped line. Attach the image to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Blessings of Home stamp set onto Basic White card using Tuxedo Black ink. Mat this onto a piece of Basic Black card and attach to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some Matte Black Dots to the card.
