I miss you - Hot Dog

Welcome back to my blog.Today's card is inspired by my dog. As soon as I saw the 'Hot Dog' stamp set, I had to add it to my shopping list! I have a photo of my dog below and you can see I coloured the dogs in the card in a very similar way to her colouring.

The 'Hot Dog' stamp set is one of the new stamp sets available in the Stampin' Up!® January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue. If you would like a copy of the new catalogue as well as the Sale-A-bration catalogue and live in Australia, please feel free to email me

Instructions:

- Use Whisper White/Basic White A4 card cut in half and folded.

- Cut a piece of the spotted Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper and adhere to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

- Take a piece of Shimmery White card and adhere some Post-it notes to the card to create a line between the grass and sky. Cover the 'sky' side first.

- Use Granny Apple and Just Jade Classic Stampin' Pads and blend with the new Blending Brushes to create 'grass'.

- Remove the sticky notes from the top half of the card and place over the 'grass' side.

- Use Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue Classic Stampin' Pads and blend with the new Blending Brushes to create the 'sky'.

- Splatter some water onto the card using a dry brush and then place a tissue over the card to remove some of the ink and create the starry effect.

- Stamp the two dogs from the Hot Dog stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White card.

- Colour the dogs in using a Bronze Stampin' Blends Marker. Use a Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends Marker to colour in the collar of one of the dogs. Fussy cut the dogs out.

- Stamp bones from the Hot Dog stamp set onto the grass and colour both the bones and the noses of the dogs with the Basic Black Stampin' Write marker.

- Stamp a sentiment from the stamp set using Misty Moonlight ink onto a piece of Whisper White and then mat that piece onto a small piece of the Flowers for Every Season DSP.

 - Attach the dogs and the sentiment to the Shimmery White blended card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

    1. Hi Elise. Thank you so much for your comment on my card. My dog has such a sweet and lovely nature and it has been fun to have been able to use her as my inspiration.. I am hoping to use the stamp again soon (in her colours of course). Thank you again for dropping by my blog.
