Thank you for Inspiring Me - Knit Together, Peaceful Deer and Blessings of Home

Thank you for Inspiring Me - Knit Together, Peaceful Deer and Blessings of Home

Hello again! I have a card for you that uses a few different sets. I mainly wanted to featured the Knit Together (a background stamp from the Aug-Dec 2021 Mini) which will be carrying over to next year and I combined it with the Peaceful Deer set (also carrying over) and the new set from the upcoming Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue (which I have already featured) Blessings of Home. I combined this with the Seasonal Swirls Dies which are now retired, as well as the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.

Instructions:

- Use Sahara Sand A4 card cut in half and folded for the card base. Use a piece of Basic White card and layer on top. Stamp the Knit Together stamp set onto another piece of Basic White card using Sahara Sand ink and adhere to the card

- Stamp the Deer from the Peaceful Deer set using Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White card and punch out using the Deer Builder Punch. Colour with Stampin' Blends. Die cut two wreaths using the Seasonal Swirls Dies from Basic White and Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. Adhere these to the card and add the Deer on top.

-  Stamp the 'Thank You' sentiment from the Blessings of Home set onto Basic White using Tuxedo Black and adhere to a piece of Basic Black card and then adhere. Use some Twine and create two bows and then adhere to the card.

Celebrate You - Celebrate Sunflowers and Seasonal Swirls Dies - #TGIFC336

Celebrate You - Celebrate Sunflowers and Seasonal Swirls Dies - #TGIFC336

Hello again! Today's card is one I have entered into the TGIF Challenges #TGIFC336 Colour Challenge this week. The colours in the challenge this week were Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Blackberry Bliss.

Now this week's challenge was a really tricky one for me. As you would know it is Spring in Australia, so the deep and rich colours for this challenge kind of threw me for a loop for a few days and of course I am entering at the last minute for that reason. I used watercolouring as a technique to diffuse the deep colours and create multiple different shades of the Basic Black and Blackberry Bliss.

For this card I used the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp, Sunflowers Dies, Seasonal Swirls Dies and used techniques such as watercolouring, fussy cutting and heat embossing.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Blackberry Bliss card, cut in half lengthwise and folded. Mat with a piece of Very Vanilla card after splattering with Blackberry Bliss ink and attach using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Use a piece of Watercolour paper and stamp the small sunflowers with Versamark ink using the Celebrate Sunflowers set. Use a sentiment from the set and stamp using Versamark onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss card. Heat emboss both, then fussy cut both the sentiment (cut off the word Let's) and the sunflowers. Apply Blackberry Bliss to a Clear Block, and mix with a little water. Use a Water PainteR to colour the sunflowers creating lighter and darker areas on the flowers. Do the same  thing with Tuxedo Black and apply to the sunflower leaves and centres of the flowers.

- Die cut some leaves from Basic Black card using the Sunflowers Dies Die cut a wreath from Very Vanilla card using the Seasonal Swirls Dies. Attach the flowers, sentiment, wreath and leaves using Liquid Glue, Glue Dots and Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Use a Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Marker and add some dots to the Very Vanilla leaves on the wreath to add some more interest. Add some Matte Black Dots to finish the card.

Just Because - Seasonal Swirls Dies - #GDP310

Just Because - Seasonal Swirls Dies - #GDP310

Hello again! Today's card is one I have entered into the Global Design Challenge #GDP310 Sketch Challenge this week. I was a little undecided on what to use to make this card this week, but I ended up using 'scraps from my desk' from previous projects.

For this card I used the Lovely You Stamp Set, Seasonal Swirls and Christmas Cheer Dies, Cork and Be Dazzling Specialty Paper, In Colour Shimmer Vellum and the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White A4 card, cut in half and folded. Mat a piece of Polished Pink onto it using Stampin' Dimensionals. Use a piece of Basic White card that has been embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and attach with Liquid Glue. Attach a strip of Cork Specialty Paper with Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Die cut a swirl and leaves from the Seasonal Swirls using Basic White and the Polished Pink In Colour Shimmer Vellum. Use the Christmas Cheer Dies to cut some additional leaves from Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum (in my case this and the swirl were left over from previous projects). Blend some Soft Succulent ink onto some of the leaves and onto the back of the swirl to give a green tinge to the swirl.

- Adhere all the pieces to the card using Liquid Glue. Stamp a sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set onto Basic Black card with Versamark Ink and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Attach the sentiment to a piece of the Sale-a-bration Be Dazzling Paper  with glue then adhere to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some Matte Black Dots.

Don't forget to subscribe to my newsletter as I will have dimensions for this card.

Just Because - Seasonal Swirls Dies - Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop September 2021

Just Because - Seasonal Swirls Dies - Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop September 2021

Hello and welcome back to my blog. You are visiting Ann Alexander from Australia. Today I have a card for the "Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop". Our theme this month is "Pick a Season". I decided to pick Spring as that is the current season here in Australia. My floral card reminded me of some of the beautiful flowers I see in my neighbourhood.

I used one of the new sets from the Aug-Dec Mini Catalogue, the "Seasonal Swirls Dies" (which coordinates with the Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set). I also used the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration item). I combined it with a sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set, ink blending to add colour to the wreaths and some Loose Flower Flourishes.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White card A4/Letter cut in half lengthwise and folded. Use a piece of the Beautifully Penned DSP and attach a piece of same sized Vellum to it using Adhesive Sheets. Once adhered, attach to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Use a piece of Basic White card and die cut 2 wreaths using the Seasonal Swirls Dies. Use a Blending Brush and add Polished Pink and Pale Papaya to some of the various leaves. Die cut some separate leaves using the same dies and then use the Blending Brush to add Soft Succulent ink to them as well. Adhere the wreaths and leaves using Liquid Glue. Add some Loose Flower Flourishes and adhere with Mini Glue Dots.

Use a piece of Basic Black card and stamp a sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set with Versamark and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Attach to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some flower flourishes

Measurements:

- Basic White Card base A4/Letter cut in half lengthwise and folded

- Beautifully Penned DSP: A4 5 7/8" x 3 7/8"/ 14.9 x 10 cm or Letter 4" x 5 1/2"

- Vellum: A4 5 7/8" x 3 7/8"/ 14.9 x 10 cm or Letter 4" x 5 1/2"

I hope the card you've seen here on my blog today has inspired you to create something today. You are currently visiting Ann Alexander. Please see the list below and hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects. There is so much inspiration, you won't want to miss any of the other projects!
