Thank you - Celebrate Sunflowers- Just Add Ink #573

Hello again and welcome back to my blog! I have another Just Add Ink Design Team post for you today.

This weeks challenge is Just Add Ink #573...Sketch . To create this card I used the Sunflower Dies (coordinating with the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set), Nature's Harvest Stamp Set, Be Dazzling Specialty Paper (a Sale-a-bration item), Pattern Party DSP (Host Rewards), Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and Stampin' Blends.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and folded. Emboss a piece of Basic White card with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. Attach a strip of Pattern Party DSP and Be Dazzling Specialty Paper to it. Colour the Be Dazzling strip with a Highland Heather Stampin' Blend prior to attaching it to the Basic White card. Attach to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Colour the back of a piece of Vellum Stampin' blends (see listed below) and use Isopropyl Alcohol with an air blower and waterbrush to move the colours around. Trim down the image to size to fit a smaller piece of Basic White card and attach with dabs of Liquid Glue. Attach the Vellum/card to the card base with Liquid Glue.

Die cut the large flower from the Sunflowers Dies using Basic White card. Splatter lightly with various inks (see listed below) and attach to the Vellum Square with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Art in Bloom set onto Basic Black card using Versamark Ink and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Attach this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

    1. Thank you so much for your lovely comment Lynn!☺️🙏🏼🌷 It is definitely something I continue to practice myself. With this card, I actually worked on a larger piece and cut it down to size so I could select the area I liked the most... I find working with Alcohol Inks a little unpredictable so creating a larger piece adds a bit more freedom. xx

    1. Hi Lydia, thanks for visiting my blog. There are a quite a few video tutorials on Youtube by others ( I have not made one myself), however I do have details on how to make the background from another card I have made. See this link - hope it helps and please check in if you have any questions.

  3. This is just a beautiful card! I don't have Stampin' Blends to create that particular component, but I could use a nice piece of DSP (or watercolor a piece of paper) to achieve a similar look. Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment. You could absolutely do this with watercolours, just make sure to dry between layers and of course patterned paper would be an easy way to achieve a very similar look. Hope to see your creation! ☺️🙏🏼🌷
