A Touch of Ink Spotlight and Sale-a-bration

Hello and welcome back to my blog.Today's cards use the 'A Touch of Ink' stamp set (a Sale-a-bration set). I made these cards a while back but with less than a week before Sale-a-bration finishes, I wanted to showcase this amazing set that you can get for FREE if you spend over $180 in the Australian Stampin' Up!® store.

Click HERE if you would like to be taken directly to my storefront. Don't forget you only have till February 28th to shop and receive  Sale-a-bration products for FREE for a $90 or $180 minimum spend ($180 for A Touch of Ink) .

This first card is simple but uses multiple techniques such as ink blending with the new Blending Brushes, some water splattering onto the blended background to achieve the speckled effect on the card as well as colouring of the images with the Stampin' Blends and a bit of fussy cutting.

I also used the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels as well as the regular Basic Jewels to add a decorative element to the card, but I coloured the Basic Jewels with my Stampin' Blends to achieve the colours to match my card.

This next card uses the solid wing butterfly image from the stamp set to create flowers on my card. I used the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to hand draw the stems of the flowers. I used a brush and splattered Cherry Cobbler ink to achieve some background effects.

I coloured the Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon and the Rhinestone Basic Jewels with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends to colour them to match the card. The sentiment is also from the A Touch of Ink set and matted onto Flower and Field 12" x12" Designer Series Paper (another Sale-a-bration item you can get for FREE if you spend just $90 in the Australian Stampin' Up! store).

This last card uses stamping and heat embossing, as well as some background blending with inks and the Blending Brushes.

I added some Pastel Pearls from the Hydrangea Haven bundle to complement the colours.

I hope you like all of the cards today and I hope that you got some inspiration on how you could use the 'A Touch of Ink' Stamp Set.
