Hello- Forever Greenery Suite and a sketch

Hello and welcome back. After my last post with the Scrappy Strip/Mosaic card I had lofty plans on making many more mosaic cards... but currently I have children on school holidays and I find that my crafty mojo tends to get interrupted with children around. So instead, I decided to revert to a sketch and some paper strips to make a simple card today. With Stampin' Up!® having 15% off selected papers (see my previous post), I decided it was time to use some of my paper stash up.

This card is really simple to make. I visited the Freshly Made Sketches blog and used sketch number #451 for my inspiration.

The card instructions are as follows

1) I used Whisper White cardstock for my base, A4 card cut in 1/2 lengthwise and then folded.

2) I smooshed some Just Jade Classic Stampin' Ink onto an acrylic stamping block and then wet it using some water from a Water Painter, I then used the Water Painter and flicked droplets of Just Jade onto the card.

3) I stamped the "Hello" sentiment from the the Forever Ferns Stamp Set, with Just Jade ink onto the card.

4) I attached strips of paper from the Forever Greenery Suite, one which was 4 1/2"  x 3/4" (11.5 cm x 2 cm) and the other 4" x 0.75 (10 cm x 2 cm), using multipurpose glue

5) I then used a piece from the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper and attached that with liquid multipurpose glue as well.

I hope you like this card. I find using a sketch really helpful when I am need of quick inspiration.
