Cherished Friend - Lovely You Stamp Set

Hoping you are having a lovely Sunday. As you might know, Stampin' Up!® is having a 15% off sale on selected Designer Series Paper (DSP) this month (see THIS post) and I have been using more of my DSP on my cards although I think it might be an excuse to buy more DSP of course ;) ....

So my card today is another simple one, but such an adaptable design for using up your DSP.

I started with a layer of Petal Pink cardstock. I then used a strip of Basic Gray, with a piece of Peony Garden Designer Series Paper. You could use any size for both the strip and DSP to change up the card design. Alternatively you could use the reverse side of the DSP for a set of matching cards. I attached both pieces to the Petal Pink cardstock with liquid multipurpose glue.

I then tied a piece of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon around the Petal Pink cardstock at the join of the cardstock and the DSP. I used smaller strip of ribbon and tied that piece onto the larger ribbon. I then attached the whole lot using Stampin' Dimensionals onto the Whisper White card base.

I used a small piece of Petal Pink and Whisper White for the sentiment. This sentiment came from the Lovely You Stamp Set and was stamped with Basic Gray Ink. I also cut some branches from Petal Pink cardstock using the Forever Fern Dies, and attached them using multipurpose glue.

Card Supplies:
- Cardstock: Whisper White (A4 cardstock,cut in half lengthwise), Petal Pink, Basic Gray

- Stamp: Lovely You Stamp Set
- Ink: Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad
- Dies: Forever Fern
- Ribbon: Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon

It is a simple but easy way to use up all those craft papers you are hoarding. Hope you try this card.
