Cheer - Words of Cheer - Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop November 2021

Cheer - Words of Cheer - Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop November 2021

Hello and welcome back to my blog. You are visiting Ann Alexander from Australia. Today I have a card for the "Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop". Our theme this month is "Use Your Stash ".

Now this month's theme is a very broad one but with Christmas coming soon, my mind went to a Christmas set. One of my favourites from the current Mini Catalogue is the Words of Cheer stamp set and coordinating Christmas Cheer dies.

I also used the Wintry Embossing Folder, Red Velvet Paper , Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and Classic Matte Dots (available in the new Jan-June Mini). Given that we are about to hit summer here in Australia, I decided to choose non-traditional colours for my Christmas card.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White card A4/Letter cut in half lengthwise and folded. Stamp leaves from the Words of Cheer stamp set onto Basic White card using Versamark Ink and heat emboss with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. Attach a Vellum overlay to the card and adhere the Vellum/Basic White to the card base.

- Emboss a piece of Coastal Cabana with the Wintry Embossing Folder (branches) and then adhere Gold Metallic Specialty Paper on either side. Adhere this to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Die cut the "Cheer" and its silhouette from the Christmas Cheer Dies using Basic White and Red Velvet Paper. Also cut some flowers from the Red Velvet Paper using the small floral/star dies.

- Adhere the flowers/stars together and then add a white Classic Matte Dot to each and adhere to the card. Add some additional colour by using a Real Red Stampin' Blend and adding dots to the Vellum like splatter.

Measurements:

- Basic White Card base A4/Letter cut in half lengthwise and folded

- Vellum/Basic White: A4 5 3/8" x 3 5/8"/ 13.9 x 9.5 cm or Letter 3 3/4" x 5"

I hope the card you've seen here on my blog today has inspired you to create something today.

Season's Greetings - Words of Cheer - Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop September 2021

Hello and welcome back. Today I have a card for the Casually Crafting Design Team September 2021 Blog Hop. This month we have a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. I selected the first column for with "Christmas, Foliage & Green" for my card today.

So who are we?

The Casually Crafting Design Team are a group of Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from around the world that want to share our love of crafting with you all. We all love simple and easy cards, so you will see cards that are ideally suited for beginners and casual crafters. Sometimes we will also be showing stepped up versions for the more avid crafter.

We will sharing what we love every 3rd Saturday of the month. Make sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's creative projects using the links below.

For this month, I decided to share a card using the Words of Cheer Stamp Set. The background was created using stamped images from this set which were heat embossed with Gold and Silver Embossing Powder. The main floral image was fussy cut and coloured with Stampin' Blends.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White card A4/Letter cut in half lengthwise and folded. Use a smaller piece of Soft Succulent card and attach with Stampin' Dimensionals..

- Stamp the leaves from the Words of Cheer using Versamark Ink onto a piece of Evening Evergreen. Heat emboss with Gold and Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder. Stamp the main floral image from this set onto a piece of Basic White using Tuxedo Ink. Fussy cut the image, although if you have a die cutting machine you could use the coordinating dies. Colour with Stampin' Blends (listed below). Attach the floral image to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Cut a piece of Real Red Sheer Ribbon in half lengthwise. Use one of the cut pieces with a piece of Gold Simply Elegant Trim and tie into a double bow and attach to the card using a Mini Glue Dot.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Words of Cheer stamp set using Evening Evergreen ink onto strip of Basic White card. Cut the sentiment up to create two pieces and attach the sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some Wonderful Gems to the flowers and the card finish the card.

Measurements:

- Basic White base A4/Letter cut in half lengthwise and folded

- Soft Succulent: A4
 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"/ 14.4 cm x 10 cm or Letter 4" x 5 1/4"

Evening Evergreen: A4 5 3/8" x 3 5/8"/ 13.9 x 9.5 cm or Letter 3 3/4" x 5"

Dear Friend - Words of Cheer - Just Add Ink #572 .... Just Add Inspiration

Hello again and welcome back to my blog!

I have some really exciting news. I was recently invited by the lovely ladies at Just Add Ink to join their Design Team and today I am sharing my first post as an official DT member!

The colours in this weeks challenge Just Add Ink #572 was what inspired me for my card today. To create this card I used the Words of Cheer Bundle, Art in Bloom Stamp Set, 2021-2023 In Colour Shimmer Vellum, Timber 3D Embossing Folder and Stampin' Blends.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and folded. Mat with a piece of Polished Pink card and attach with Stampin' Dimensionals. Using a piece of Basic White card, emboss with the Timber Embossing Folder and splatter with Polished Pink ink. Attach this piece to the base with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the large flower image from the 'Words of Cheer' stamp set onto Basic White card using Tuxedo Black Ink. Die cut using the Christmas Cheer Dies. Colour the images with Stampin' Blends. Attach to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Die cut some various leaves from the Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Colour Shimmer Vellum using the Christmas Cheer Dies. Attach under the large floral image with Liquid Glue.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Art in Bloom set onto Basic Black card using Versamark Ink and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Attach this to the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  Add some 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels to the card.
