Hi Sweet Friend - Mischievous Mice - Just Add Ink Inspiration Challenge JAI610

Hi Sweet Friend - Mischievous Mice - Just Add Ink Inspiration Challenge JAI610

Hello again and welcome back to my blog! I have another Just Add Ink Design Team post for you today.

This week's challenge is the Just Add Ink #JAI610 - Just Add Inspiration Challenge . I was inspired by the colours and balloons from the inspiration image. I used the just retired (as of today) Mischievous Mice stamp set, with a background created using Stampin' Blends.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic A4 card cut lengthwise and folded in half. Layer with a piece of Sahara Sand.

- Create a background on Vellum using Stampin' Blends (Sweet Sorbet, Polished Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Pale Papaya, Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Fresh Freesia) and rubbing alcohol and an air blower. Once dry, adhere to a piece of Basic White card and then adhere to the card front.

- Stamp the mouse/balloon image onto Basic White with Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut. Colour with Stampin' Blends (Pool Party, Gray Granite, Smoky Slate, Light Blends)

- Stamp the sentiment from the Mischievous Mice stamp set onto Basic Black using Versamark ink, heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and attach to the card. Add some 2022-2024 In Colour Matte Decorative Dots to the card.

Hi Sweet Friend - Mischievous Mice

Hi Sweet Friend - Mischievous Mice

Hello again! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas or at least time with family and friends. I had a restful Christmas and managed to have some wonderful family time albeit much quieter than previous years. This week I have been crafting up a storm, although you won't be seeing most of the projects till January.

For today's card, I decided to use the very cute Mischievous Mice stamp set which is an upcoming Host stamp set in the new Stampin' Up!® Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. Please email me if you would like one of these new catalogues.

So for this card, I was inspired by the cheese - lol - so I decided to use different yellow card stock and the Checks and Dots Embossing Folders to create the 'cheesy' effect. I also used one of my very favourite patterned papers - the Pattern Party DSP, Stampin' Blends for colouring and some Sequins For Everything.

Instructions:

- Use Basic White A4 card cut in half and folded for the card base. Use a piece of Basic White card and layer on top. Use a 2" Circle punch or circle dies to cut circles from Basic White, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron card. Emboss the circles with the Dots Embossing Folder (Checks and Dots). Add some ink using an ink dauber to the raised edges with the inks corresponding to the card colour. Adhere to Basic White card.

- Stamp the mouse in the cheese from the Mischievous Mice stamp set onto Basic White card using Tuxedo Black ink and colour with Stampin' Blends. Attach to a strip of Pattern Party DSP  and adhere to the card. Stamp a sentiment from the set using Versamark ink onto Basic Black card and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Add some Sequins for Everything to the card.
