Beloved - Queen Bee - Colour Inkspiration Challenge

Beloved - Queen Bee - Colour Inkspiration Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog! I have a card today that I am entering into this week's Colour Inkspiration Challenge. The colours for this challenge are Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Gold and one of the retiring 2021-2023 In Colours. I decided to pick my beloved Polished Pink which I am so sad to see retiring.

I used the Queen Bee stamp set and coordinating Queen Bee dies, Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and Gilded Leafing.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Very Vanilla A4 card for the card base. Layer with a piece of Very Vanilla which has been embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and had some Gold Gilded Leafing applied.

- Add a layer of Basic Black and then another piece of Very Vanilla which has had the text from the Queen Bee set stamped with second generation stamping using Tuxedo Black ink.

- Stamp multiple bees and the large flowers from the Queen Bee set onto Very Vanilla card using Tuxedo Black ink. Colour all the flowers (on the bees and the plant) in with both Light and Dark Polished Pink Stampin' Blends.

- Die cut these pieces and some bees and flowers from Very Vanilla card using the Queen Bee Dies. Colour the die cut bees using Polished Pink Stampin' Blends and the die cut flowers with Polished Pink Ink using a Blending Brush. Apply some Gilded Leafing to both the flowers and bee using Liquid Glue to adhere the leafing.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Queen Bee set on Very Vanilla using Tuxedo Black ink and use the Blending Brush to apply some Polished Pink to the edges of the piece. Adhere all the pieces to the card front. Add a Gold Simply Elegant Trim bow to the large flower. Add Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to complete.

Thank You - Cup of Tea Bundle - Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI119

Today I have a card for you that I have entered into this week's Colour INKspiration Challenge. #CI119. I haven't played for a while but the colour combination was so pretty, I had to join in.

The colour combination this week was Fresh Freesia, Flirty Flamingo, Magenta Madness, Pool Party and Gold.  I decided to use the Cup of Tea Bundle which is one of the new bundles in the upcoming Stampin' Up!® 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue.

Instructions:

- Use a Basic White A4 card cut lengthwise and folded in half. Layer with a piece of the Tea Boutique DSP and then a piece of Basic White embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder (just recently retired). Adhere both pieces at an angle on the card.

- Stamp the leaves from the Cup of Tea stamp set with Pool Party ink onto Basic White and use Magenta Madness and Flirty Flamingo inks to stamp the various flowers also onto Basic White. Stamp some extra flowers to use as extra details. Use the Teacup Dies to die cut all the pieces. Die cut the teacup from the Teacup Boutique DSP and the outline from Gold Foil using the Teacup Dies. Adhere all the pieces to the card using the additional flowers as extra decorative elements

- Stamp the sentiment from the Cup of Tea stamp set onto Fresh Freesia card using Versamark ink and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Fussy cut the sentiment and separate into two words and adhere to the card. Add some Fresh Freesia 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels to finish the card.

Have a Perfect Birthday - Blessings of Home - Colour INKspiration Challenges CI110

Have a Perfect Birthday - Blessings of Home - Colour INKspiration Challenges CI110

Hello again! I have a card for the Colour INKspiration Challenges #CI110 this week. I am incredibly honoured to be invited to be Guest  Designer for this challenge after winning the  #CI108 Challenge for THIS card. I love colour challenges as they make me use colours and colour combinations I wouldn't normally pick. This challenge used Pale Papaya, Cajun Craze, Basic Black and Shaded Spruce.

I highly encourage you to join the Colour INKspiration Challenges Facebook Group as it is for Stampin' Up!® enthusiasts who love colour challenges. You do not need a blog to post and they have fortnightly challenges.

For this card I used the Blessings of Home stamp (coming in the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue), coordinating Flowers of Home Dies, Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper, Black Glitter Paper, Vellum and Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Basic White A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and folded. Layer a piece of Black Glitter Paper then a piece of Basic White card that has been embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and splattered with Black Ink. Attach a smaller piece of of the Harvest Meadow DSP and cover with Vellum to soften the colours.

Stamp the Blessings of Home floral image onto Watercolour card with Versamark Ink and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Waterolour the image using Shaded Spruce, Pale Papaya and Cajun Craze inks. Die cut floral images using the Flowers of Home Dies and use a Blending Brush to add Pale Papaya ink to them. Adhere this and the watercoloured main image to the card.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Blessings of Home stamp set with Versamark Ink onto Basic Black card and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels coloured with a Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends marker.

Don't forget to subscribe to my newsletter as I will have dimensions for this card.
