Love and Big Hugs - Sending Smiles & Butterfly Brilliance - GDP343 Theme Challenge

Love and Big Hugs - Sending Smiles & Butterfly Brilliance - GDP343 Theme Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today's card is for Global Design Project's #GDP343 Theme Challenge.

The theme this week is Beautiful Bugs and I had to use a butterfly as I love the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and the coordinating Brilliant Wings Dies as well as the Sending Smiles stamp set for the sentiment. I also used the Fern 3D Embossing Folder, Lovely Layers Vellum, Metallic Mesh Ribbon and 2021-2023 In Colour Opal Rounds.

Instructions:

- Use Basic White A4 card cut in half lengthwise and folded for the card base. Layer with a piece of the Basic White card embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder and then Lovely Layers Vellum. Splatter some Polished Pink ink lightly onto the embossed piece prior to attaching to the card.

- Stamp the butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set onto Basic White using Tuxedo Black ink and die cut or fussy cut out. Also die cut a large butterfly from Basic White card using the Brilliant Wings Dies. Colour the stamped butterfly with Stampin' Blends (Sweet Sorbet, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Pumpkin Pie and Smoky Slate). Lay the butterflies over a piece of Metallic Mesh Ribbon onto the card.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Sending stamp set using Versamark ink onto Basic Black and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Add some Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Colour Opal Rounds.

Thanks - Special Moments - GDP333 Colour Challenge

Thanks - Special Moments - GDP333 Colour Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today's card is for Global Design Project's #GDP333 Colour Challenge . This week the colours for the challenge are Mint Macaron, Garden Green and Balmy Blue.

I used the Special Moments Stamp Set (a Sale-a-bration set which will only be available till 16th March 2022), Brilliant Wings Dies and Flowers of Home Dies. I used techniques such as watercoloring with inks, ink blending and die cutting.

Instructions:

- Use Basic White A4 card cut in half lengthwise and folded for the card base. Use another piece of Basic White and apply splattered Mint Macaron and Garden Green ink and then emboss with the Bark Embossing Folder.

- Die cut two butterflies using the Brilliant Wings dies from Basic White. Apply Balmy Blue ink with a Water Painter to the butterflies, adding colour with a Stampin' Write marker to intensify the colour.

- Die cut leaves using the Flowers of Home dies. Apply Garden Green ink using a Water Painter (to lighten the colour) and apply Mint Macaron ink to the other leaves using a Blending Brush. Adhere the leaves and the butterflies to the card.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Special Moments stamp set using Balmy Blue ink onto the Basic White card. Layer onto a strip of Hand-Penned DSP and then onto a label from the Hand-Penned Memories and More Pack. Adhere Rhinestone Basic Jewels coloured with Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends. Also add a Brush Brass Butterfly to the sentiment.

Happy Birthday - Butterfly Brilliance

Hello and welcome back! I have a card I made for The Crafty Carrot Collective 5th Birthday Bash Mystery Stamping Challenge. The stamping challenge required the colour Orange, Vellum, a Birthday sentiment and Ribbon/Twine

I decided to use some of the some of the products from the Annual Catalogue including the Brilliant Wings Dies, Expressions in Ink DSP and Shaded Summer stamp set. I also added in the Vellum Layering Designs from the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue and the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder

For my card, I used the Pale Papaya from the Expressions in Ink DSP for my 'Orange', the Vellum Layering Designs for my Vellum, the birthday sentiment from the Shaded Summer set and the Gold Simply Elegant Trim for my 'twine'.

Instructions:

- Use Basic White A4 card cut lengthwise and folded for the card base. Layer with a piece of Expressions in Ink DSP and then a piece of Vellum Layering Designs.

- Die cut a piece of the Expressions in Ink DSP with the Brilliant Wings Dies and then a solid butterfly from Basic White card. Emboss the solid butterfly shape with the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. Adhere the butterflies together and then adhere over some twisted Gold Simply Elegant Trim onto the card.

- Stamp the sentiment from the Shaded Summer stamp set using Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White card. Adhere onto some strips of Expressions in Ink DSP and Polished Pink card and attach to the card. Embellsh with some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I'm here for you - Beauty of Tomorrow & Brilliant Wings Dies - #FMS505

I'm here for you - Beauty of Tomorrow & Brilliant Wings Dies - #FMS505

Hello again! Today's card is one I have entered into the Freshly Made Sketches #FMS505 Sketch Challenge this week.

For this card I used the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set, Brilliant Wings Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Timeworn Type Embossing Folder, Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Papers (with those gold foil accents - swoon) and the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Rich Razzleberry A4 card, cut in half lengthwise and folded. Mat with a piece of Basic White which has been embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder. Attach this to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Use the Layering Circles Dies to die cut two different sized circles from the Blackberry Beauty DSP. Use the Brilliant Wings Dies to die cut butterflies from the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. Attach these to the card using Mini Glue Dots for the Butterflies and Stampin' Dimensionals/ Liquid Glue for the Circles.

- Stamp a sentiment from the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set onto a strip of Basic White card and attach to a scrap of the Blackberry Beauty DSP (distress the edges slightly). Adhere with Liquid Glue. Colour some Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blend and then adhere to the card.

Look at the gorgeous gold foil on the Beauty of Tomorrow Designer Series Paper ... so pretty!
