Hello and welcome to back to my blog. I created this clean and simple card for the #GDP289 Colour Challenge this week. The challenge this week is a colour challenge using Coastal Cabana, Magenta Madness and Bumblebee.
I used the Quiet Meadow Bundle (Quiet Meadow stamp and Meadow Dies), with some ink blending using the Blending Brushes from Stampin' Up!®
Instructions:
- Use a piece of Basic White card A4 cut in half lengthwise and folded.
- Use a smaller piece of Basic card, and stamp with the flower from the Quiet Meadow stamp set using Tuxedo Black ink.
- Use a Blending Brush and softly blend Coastal Cabana onto the card, trying to limit the amount of colour onto the actual flower.
- Colour the flower with Stampin' Blends - Magenta Madness & Bumblebee for the flower and Just Jade for the leaves and stem.
- Flick both Coastal Cabana and Magenta Madness ink onto the card.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Quiet Meadow stamp set using Coastal Cabana onto Basic White.
- Use the Meadow Dies to die cut the butterflies from Bumblebee card stock and Vellum, as well the sentiment label.
- Use some Bumblebee ink and a sponge dauber to add more colour to the edges of the Bumblebee and Vellum butterflies.
- Attach the sentiment label to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals after threading some Pool Party Sheer Ribbon through. Attach this card layer to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals (after the ribbon is attached and adhered).
- Attach the Vellum and Bumblebee butterflies to each other using Liquid Glue, then attach them to the card using some Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the butterflies.
