No Matter What - Count on Me & Layering Diorama - #GDP293

Hello and welcome back to my blog. I have a card for you today that I created for the Global Design Project Challenge #293 this week. The challenge this week is a Colour Challenge using a combination of three of the new 2021-2023 In Colours - Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.

The colour combination initially made me think of florals but when I started playing with them, it reminded me of the Australian 'Green and Gold'. For my non Australian visitors, the 'Green and Gold' is a very patriotic colour combination with a lot of our national sporting teams wearing variations of the colours on their uniforms.

Once I saw the Kangaroo from the Count On Me stamp set, I decided try the new Layering Diorama Dies and create an Australian 'Outback' type scene. I used the Inspiring Canopy dies to cut the trees from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper to mimic Australian Gum trees. I used stamps from the Hot Dog stamp set (retiring soon) and the Quiet Meadow stamp set to add some decorative elements.

Instructions:

- Use a piece of Pale Papaya card for the base A4 cut in half lengthwise and folded.

- Use the Layering Diorama Dies (2nd and 4th largest) dies to cut shapes from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. Keep the die cut inside pieces for another card. Die cut the trees from Beauty of the Earth DSP using the Inspiring Canopy dies.

- Use Blending Brushes to add some extra Pale Papaya ink to the Pale Papaya cardstock to intensify the orange "outback" feel.  Stamp some hearts using the Hot Dog stamp set and some dots using the Quiet Meadow stamp set using Evening Evergreen onto the Evening Evergreen card.

- Layer the die cuts and then attach the trees to the card using Liquid Glue and the Diorama Die cuts using Stampin' Dimensionals between each layer. Add some extra die cuts to the Soft Succulent layer (turn over the DSP to get the brown branches).

- Stamp the Kangaroo and sentiment from the Count On Me stamp set onto Basic White card using Tuxedo Black Ink. Colour the Kangaroo with Stampin' Blends (Bronze, Ivory Crumb Cake, Polished Pink, Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent).

- Attach the sentiment to a piece of the DSP and attach it and the kangaroo to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals
