Welcome back. I am going to be posting a lot more than usual in the next couple of weeks. As you would have seen on my previous post, Stampin' Up!® is having a Giant Year-End Close Out Sale (click here to shop the sale), and I wanted to show you some examples of some of the products that will be retiring.
Today I am using the Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folders and showing two cards. This set contains two embossing folders which will be retiring at the end of December and will are discounted by 50% and are only $7 for the two folders. I have used one of the folders in a Christmas project and I have used the other with the Darling Donkeys Stamp set (one of the cute stamp sets which is a free Sale-A-bration stamp set if you spend more than AUD $90 from January 5th- February 28th 2021). I also used Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set which is currently 20% off as well as some retiring 'Tis the Season DSP.
Instructions:
- Use a Whisper White card base - A4 cut in half lengthwise and folded.
- Use another smaller piece of Whisper White cardstock, and flick droplets off Real Red Ink using a Water Painter and adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals to the card.
- Use a wide strip of Whisper White cardstock and emboss it with one of the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders.
- Mat it onto a slightly wider strip of 'Tis the Season Designer Series Paper (which will also be retiring) using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Attach the embossed Whisper White strip/DSP piece to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Use the Pine Tree Punch and punch out multiple trees from the 'Tis the Season paper and attach them back to back using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Allow this to dry well and then attach it to the embossed Whisper White piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Stamp 'Peace on Earth' from the 'Wrapped in Christmas' Stamp set onto a piece of Whisper White card using Shaded Spruce Ink. Cut the cardstock at an angle.
- Use some Red Thread from the Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin kit under the sentiment and attach the sentiment and thread to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Punch three Pine Trees using the 'Tis the Season DSP and attach to the inside of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Card supplies:
- Cardstock: Whisper White
- Paper: 'Tis the Season
- Stamps: Wrapped in Christmas
- Ink: Shaded Spruce, Real Red
- Embellishments: Red Thread (Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin Kit)
- Embossing Folder: Wrapped in Texture
- Punch: Pine Trees
- Adhesive: Stampin' Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue
- Tools: Water Painter
Instructions:
- Use a Whisper White card base - A4 cut in half lengthwise and folded.
- Use a slightly smaller piece of Whisper White cardstock and mat it with some Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Adhere the two pieces with Stampin' Dimensionals to the card.
- Use a wide strip of Whisper White cardstock. Emboss it with the other Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder, and mat the card with another piece of Playing with Patterns DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Wrap a piece of Just Jade Gingham ribbon around the two pieces of paper/card.
- Attach the embossed Whisper White strip/DSP piece to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Use a 2" Circle Pine Punch and punch out a green "grass like" piece from the Playing with Patterns DSP. Attach it to the card, over the ribbon using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Stamp 'It's Your Birthday' and a donkey image from the "Darling Donkeys Stamp set" onto a piece of Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Cut the sentiment out and mat with a small piece of the green DSP. Fussy cut the Donkey, and colour with Blends.
- Attach the Donkey to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Make a bow using the Just Jade Gingham Ribbon and attach with a Glue Dot to the card.
- Stamp another Donkey on the inside of the card and use the Grey Granite Blend to 'ground' him.
Card supplies:
- Cardstock: Whisper White
- Paper: Playing with Patterns
- Stamps: Darling Donkeys (Sale-A-bration)
- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
- Embellishments: Just Jade Gingham Ribbon (Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack)
- Embossing Folder: Wrapped in Texture (retiring)
- Punch: 2" Circle punch
- Adhesive: Stampin' Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots
- Tools: Blends: Light and Dark Gray Granite (Donkey, and inside of the card); Light Flirty Flamingo (Ears), Dark Petal Pink ( mouth and hooves)
